India Sponsorship Program
The Vision
The vision of the organisation is to help vulnerable children and youth through education and advocacy. Education has a crucial role in lifting children out of poverty. Ensuring all children have access to education is vital to the economic and social development of India.
The school has 300 children who receive a quality education through this project. 70% of these children are migrants to the local area and their parents cannot afford to pay for their schooling.
The "Hub" project was started to ensure children's holistic needs are met. Each hub contains 50 children, 1 social worker, and 1 tutor. They help the children receive necessary support and also monitor their overall growth.
The children's home provides shelter and care for children who are orphans or neglected or whose childhood is at risk. In the home, mentoring is provided to each child, so they receive quality care and support.
Many of the children who attend the school are eligible to be sponsored. Lifezone partners with this charitable organization to provide these children with sponsors.
